Death Valley

42 miles, 2220' elevation gain
(Furnace Creek, CA to Badwater and back)

Highlights: Devils Golf Course, Badwater Basin (lowest place in North America), flat/downhill in the morning, hotter than expected in the afternoon, almost no shade, somewhat exhausted on the way back

hey john.......thought i would finally leave you a big HELLO! ken and i (lisa) met you in death valley back in february of this year. we are fellow cyclist, although, we were there to camp and hike. i doubt we will return without our bikes....the terrain was awesome!! we look forward to going back to ride.
hey...if you can make it to ohio this summer...join ken and i on our ride to ocean city, nj from our back door!! would be a hoot to have you along!!
