- My weight = 189 pounds
- My bike = 29 pounds
- My tent & sleeping bag with pad = 10 pounds
- My panniers & handlebar bag = 10 pounds
- My other stuff = 44 pounds
I am happy report that I am 44 pounds lighter than when I began my 2006 bike ride - and that happens to be the exact weight of everything I'm carrying with me on this trip (see picture below)! I'm hoping to lose a few more pounds along the way even though I will be probably be eating in large quantities as I travel.
My stuff...all 54 pounds of it! (including panniers)
That looks a lot better! (after packing)
